Ellie is a Provisional Psychologist with a Master of Professional Psychology. Prior to private practice, Ellie had worked in government and non-government organisations including Alcohol and Other Drug Services and Occupational Rehabilitation. Ellie takes an empathic client-centred approach and provides a space for clients to feel able to explore their concerns while ensuring her care is tailored to their specific needs. She has experience with a variety of mental health presentations including anxiety and depression, stress, substance use and alcohol concerns, grief and loss, adjustment difficulties, trauma symptoms, low self esteem and other issues. Ellie is passionate about creating a trusting and collaborative relationship with her clients to assist them in working towards their goals through education, symptom management, effective coping strategies and therapy interventions. Ellie is trained in evidence-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and is able to provide short and long term interventions in a supportive environment.
