Payment Methods

Payments can be made via EFTPOS, cash or credit card. We offer on-the-spot Medicare rebates; please ensure you have a debit card with a PIN for this service. A cancellation fee for $100 applies if less than 1 business day notice is provided.

Medicare Rebate Access

If you have a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP, you’re eligible for a Medicare rebate for up to 10 sessions each calendar year. If ongoing support is needed, a new plan can be arranged with your GP so that the 10 rebated sessions renew at the start of the next calendar year.

Private Health Insurance

Most health funds offer rebates for psychological sessions, depending on your coverage. We provide on-the-spot claiming for major health funds, leaving only the gap payment for your session.

Couples counselling is not covered by Medicare, but may be claimable under the extras cover of some private health funds.

Medicare and Health Fund Policies

Current rules do not allow the use of both Medicare and Health Fund Coverage for the same session.

Bulk Billing Availability

Our capacity to bulk bill sessions is currently full. If you meet the criteria for bulk billing as detailed on our fees page, please contact our administration to discuss concession rates, a waiting list or information about other practices who may be able to offer bulk billing.

Cancellation Policy

Our psychologists reserve your session time exclusively for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule, we ask that you provide at least 1 business day’s notice. This allows us to offer the appointment to someone else who may be waiting.

A cancellation fee of $100 applies if less than 1 business day’s notice is given. Please note that cancellations over the weekend cannot be accepted, as our office is closed and we are unable to offer those times to others.

For bulk-billed clients, the cancellation fee applies in the same way. Repeated late cancellations may result in the need to pay a deposit for future sessions or, in the case of bulk-billed clients, in bulk billing being discontinued and standard fees applying. For non–bulk billed clients, repeated late cancellations may also result in a deposit being required for future sessions. Please be aware that repeated late cancellations can also affect the therapeutic process and rapport with your psychologist.
