Listening to Your Body: What Interoception Is and Why It Matters

There is a kind of knowing that does not come from thinking. It arrives before words, before analysis, before you have had a chance to reason your way to a conclusion. You walk into a room and something feels off. You are offered an opportunity that looks good on paper and yet something in you hesitates. You are in the middle of a conversation and notice, without quite knowing why, that you have gone somewhere distant inside yourself. This is interoception at work.
