BPsych, MPsych (Ed And Dev)

Andrea Crane is a registered psychologist with a Master of Education and Developmental Psychology, bringing a wealth of experience and a genuinely warm, grounded presence to her clinical work.

Andrea spent many years working alongside children with disabilities and learning difficulties in school settings, developing a deep understanding of how early experiences, cognitive differences, and systemic challenges shape a person’s relationship with themselves and the world around them. That foundation continues to inform the way she works today, with a particular sensitivity to the complexity beneath the surface of the people she sees.

In the past decade, Andrea has focused her practice on adults navigating depression, anxiety, complex mental illness, and the psychological dimensions of chronic illness and chronic pain. She brings patience, genuine curiosity, and a quietly positive energy to each therapeutic relationship, creating a space where clients feel safe to explore what is really going on for them.

Andrea draws on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) in her work, tailoring her approach to the individual rather than applying a one-size-fits-all framework. She is particularly experienced at helping people reconnect with their values and build a life that feels meaningful, even in the presence of ongoing difficulty.

Andrea is a native Spanish speaker and offers sessions in both English and Spanish, bringing a natural cultural sensitivity and warmth to her work with clients from diverse backgrounds. For many Spanish-speaking clients, being able to engage in therapy in their first language is not just a practical convenience but a profound relief.
