Seton is a registered psychologist, seeing adolescents and adults ages 16-60. He has experience working with a wide range of mental health presentations in people of all ages. His overall focus is on improving individual’s well-being and their understanding of the interconnectivity of their mind, brain and behaviour. His areas of interest include posttraumatic stress, anxiety, depression, OCD and eating disorders.
Seton incorporates aspects of Schema Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Psychodynamic psychotherapy into his practice, as well as mindfulness techniques and holistic approaches to formulation.
An approachable and understanding clinician, Seton always makes time to hear and consider others’ needs, maintaining a strong belief in client advocacy, autonomy, and an always person-centred approach to therapy. Thus empowering his clients while exploring their concerns and developing their goals.
